Based on publicly available information from each company and third-party databases, this report examines the commitments and actions of the ten biggest car manufacturers, representing 80% of the market, to evaluate whether they are taking effective steps towards decarbonisation. There are three central issues for car manufacturers to address: earlier phase-out of the internal combustion engine, decarbonising the supply chain, and resource sustainability. The report also suggests rethinking the future of mobility to carmakers.
